An MNC operating as a leading Capital Goods Service Provider in India and across the globe. The task Create and deliver a formal Supervisory Skills Learning Intervention that will enable Supervisors to effectively manage their existing roles while also preparing them for advancement.

Our Contribution

TYS and the Client collaborated to create a Learning Academy that they co-managed.

Speaking with a variety of stakeholders, including customers, supervisors, managers, peers, and subordinates, revealed the learning needs. Supervisors were also watched in real-world situations to have a better understanding of the issues they confront on the job.

As part of the learning academy, a Supervisory Skills Intervention was created, modified, and presented to 600 Service and Construction supervisors.

Over the course of two years, topics such as managing oneself, managing a team, time management, communication skills, problem-solving and decision making, coaching and mentoring, stress management, leadership skills, and so on were covered. To assess learning effectiveness, pre- and post-learning knowledge checks were undertaken, as well as comments from various stakeholders.

This huge knowledge, skills, and abilities training intervention enabled the company develop a strong middle layer, as well as a succession pipeline for the next role. It also made overall manpower and stakeholder management easier.
